Setting Gmail dari Ponsel

Cara setting email(gmail) buat kotak keluar (SMTP)-nya langsung dari ponsel.

Langsung saja ikuti langkah-langkah berikut ini :

1.Masuk ke website gmail (http://www.mail.google.com)
2.Sign in dengan akun Anda, kemudia klik Setting yang terletak dipojok kanan atas halaman tersebut.
3.Pilih menu Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
4.Aktifkan POP Download,pilih Enable POP Only for mail that arrives from now on. Lalu klik Save Changes.
Selanjutnya adalah setting di ponsel kita secara umum :

1.Pilih Menu > Olah pesan > E-mail.Kemudian tentukan klien email anda.
2.Akan muncul beberapa penyedia/server email.Dalam hal ini yang kita pilih adalah gmail.
3.Akan muncul layar informasi dasar account. Dikotak layar sudah tertulis @gmail.com. Masukan akun anda didepan @gmail.com tadi.Misal: xxx@gmail.com. Dimana xxx adalah account gmail anda. Kemudian klik OK.
4.Masukkan password anda.Klik OK.
5.Lalu akan muncul bahwa email anda siap digunakan.Kemudian konfigurasi pengaturan tambahan.
6.Kemudian akan muncul bagian pengaturan dasar informasi server surat masuk. Masukkan konfigurasi berikut ini.
a.Jenis server : PIlih POP
b.Nama server masuk : pop.gmail.com
c.Nama pengguna masuk : xxx@gmail.com
d.Sandi masuk :ketikan password account gmail anda.
e.Ulang sandi : ketik kembali password anda.
7.Lakukan pengaturan lanjutan dengan konfigurasi sebagai berikut :
a.Pilih header saja agar email yang masuk hanya diwakili judul email dan nama pengirim
b.Jumlah email yang masuk : Batasi jumlah email yang masuk. tentukan sesuai dengan keinginan anda.
c.Ukuran email maksimum (kb). Tentukan sesuai dengan keinginan anda.
d.Login aman :otomatis, lalu aktifkan sambungan aman (SSL)
e.Nomor port server :995. Klik OK.
8.Konfigurasi pengaturan lanjut opsional untuk email keluar?Pilih ya.
a.Pada kolom balas ke alamat dan setakan tanda tangan dikosongkan.
b.Login aman : otomatis, aktifkan Sambungan Aman (SSL)
c.Nomor port server : 465 atau 587, kemudia pilih OK
9.Pilih simpan atau save.Selesai
10.Apabila setting sudah benar maka account sudah dapat digunakan.

Upgrade Software BlackBerry

Untuk anda semua yang lagi demam banget sama BlackBerry. Tips ini bisa anda gunakan untuk memulai mengutak atik BlackBerry anda...Silahkan di simak.


Hal yang perlu disiapkan :

1. BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Download di http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop
2. Download Software Handheld yang tepat. Bagi anda pengguna BlackBerry Indonesia bisa mendownloadnya via situs http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download sites.jsp. Pilih operator asal ponsel BlackBerry anda. Dihalaman ini kita bisa menemukan Axis, Indosat, Telkomsel dan XL.

Khusus untuk XL, anda akan menemukan dua link, yakni XL Vodafone dan XL non Vodafone. Pilih yang sesuai dengan ponsel anda. Lalu pilih juga jenis ponsel BlackBerry anda yang muncul di menu backdrop. Lalu ikuti proses selanjutnya.

Proses Upgrade :

1. Install software handheld yang baru ke PC. Setelah selesai cari foldernya (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader), lalu hapus file vendor.xml.
2. Buka BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Hubungkan BlackBerry anda. Jika muncul notifikasi Aplication Update, pilih cancel. Lakukan Backup data terlebih dahulu. Pilih Backup dan Restore, lalu klik Backup.
3. Proses backup hanya akan berlaku pada beberapa departemen saja. Semisal kontak, settinga profil, tata letak menu dan sebagainya. Untuk itu, jika diperlukan lakukan juga backup aplikasi pihak ketiga.
4. Pilih Aplikasi Loader dari menu utama Desktop Manager. Beri tanda centang pada aplikasi-aplikasi penting dan kosongkan aplikasi yang tidak diperlukan. Atau biarkanlah seperti kondisi awal.
5. Pilihlah “ Do not automatically backup and restore the device application data during the loading process: . lalu klik Next. Jika sudah yakin, klik Finish. Proses upgrade akan segera berlangsung. Biasanya membutuhkan waktu antara 30 menit sampai 1 jam lebih. Jangan diulangi, jangan mencabut kabel atau mematikan PC karena ditakutkan akan mengganggu system.
6. Setelah proses selesai pponsel akan melakukan reboot sendiri, Kemudian untuk selanjutnya lakukan restore data. Dari menu utam Desktop Manager, pilih Backup and Restore. Kemudian pilih restore, cari file backup yang anda simpan tadi lalu klik Next dan prose upgrade selesai.

Tips dan Trik Dalam Mengoptimalkan BlackBerry

Sebagai pengguna BlackBerry, mungkin Anda belum tahu bahwa BlackBerry punya banyak fitur menarik selain fitur andalan push email, browsing, dan chatting. Beberapa tipe BlackBerry ada yang dibekali kamera, GPS, multimedia dan hiburan.

Bagi pemula mungkin agak canggung untuk mengetik cepat, me-reply (membalas email/sms), mem-forward email dan sebagainya.

Sebenarnya Blackberry menyediakan banyak shortcut (jalan pintas) untuk mengoptimasi kecepatan akses fitur-fiturnya agar menghemat waktu Anda. Berikut beberapa tips dan trik penggunaan Blackberry:

Tips Umum BlackBerry

* Untuk kembali ke Home Screen tekan tombol ESC.
* Untuk mengirim email tekan huruf C.
* Untuk membalas Email yang sudah dibaca tekan huruf R, untuk mem-forward tekan huruf F.
* Untuk melihat alamat Email pengirim Email : pilih nama kontak lalu tekan huruf Q.
* Untuk berpindah-pindah aplikasi tahan tombol ALT dan tekan tombol ESC, lalu pilih aplikasi yang dikehendaki dan lepaskan tombol ESC.

* Menerima transfer file lewat bluetooth : pertama aktifkan bluetooth terlebih dahulu dengan cara masuk ke Menu Manage Connection. Lalu check box Bluetooth dicentang. kemudian masuk ke dalam Menu Media, pilih Option -> Receive Using Bluetooth kemudian Save.

Tips menambahkan Account Email Baru

Sebagai ponsel papan atas nan canggih, Blackberry memiliki kelebihan untuk menampung hingga sepuluh Account Email yang Anda miliki. Jadi tak perlu repot login Email satu persatu saat mengeceknya setiap hari.

Selanjutnya untuk Incoming dan Outgoing dari beberapa Account Email anda bisa langsung menggunakannya dalam satu perangkat ini. Ada dua cara menambah account Email, yaitu lewat Device ini langsung atau melalui Webclient Operator yang Anda gunakan.

Menambah & menghapus Email Account BlackBerry

Masuk ke Menu Utama, pilih Email Setting ber-icon surat dengan gambar gear dan panah merah. Setelah ikon tersebut di klik, maka ada pilihan untuk New User dan Existing User. Bila anda baru pertama kali menggunakan layanan Blackberry, perlu membuat account baru (Create New Account) dan ikuti petunjuk selanjutnya.

Seandainya Anda sudah memiliki Account maka pilih Existing User dan masukkan username serta password. setelah login pilih Services -> Email accounts -> Add An Email Account lalu masukkan username dan password Account Email yang sudah anda miliki seperti Yahoo!, Gmail, Microsoft Outlook dsb. Lalu setelah memasukkan username dan password Anda klik Next. Tunggu beberapa saat dan bila berhasil akan terdapat notifikasi pada layar.

Ini sering terjadi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari: Blackberry, ponsel, atau gadget elektronik dari saku baju Anda tercebur ke toilet atau ke genangan air, ketika Anda sedang membungkuk.

Lalu apa yang harus dilakukan untuk menyelamatkan gadget kesayangan Anda itu? Ternyata ada tip yang jitu untuk meluruskan semuanya.

Bila kejadian itu menimpa Anda, lekas matikan BlackBerry, ponsel, atau gadget Anda itu, dengan melepas baterai dari slotnya.

Membaca Data Terhapus Dari SimCard

SMS bisa diatur agar disimpan di simcard atau di memori ponsel. Namun, secara default (standar) sms akan disimpan dalam simcard. Artinya, jika simcard dipindahkan ke ponsel lain, sms tetap akan bisa dibaca. Umumnya, kapasitas simpan sms dibatasi sebesar 30 sms saja, karena keterbatasan memorinya.

MS yang ada di ponsel, berisi informasi penting, hilang begitu saja. Bisa saja Anda secara tidak sengaja maupun sengaja menghapus SMS tersebut. Meski sms yang diinginkan sudah dicari di memory ponsel, namun hasilnya nol besar. Bisa jadi SMS tersebut nyangkut ke memory simcard, sehingga memerlukan peralatan dan software khusus untuk membacanya.
Software bernama GSM Sim utility versi 6. tersebut aslinya diciptakan untuk meng-kloning simcard anda ke simcard blank (kosong) yang dapat diisi hingga 16 nomor sekaligus. Di dalam paket software ini ada sebuah aplikasi Sim Editor yang dapat digunakan untuk membaca kembali semua SMS yang telah terhapus dan nyangkut di memory Simcard anda.

Anda bisa men-download software ini secara gratis di situs http://www.kagakribet.com/download.php. Sementara, untuk membaca sim card-nya anda juga perlu simcard reader khusus. Simcard reader berupa sebuah alat kecil yang bisa membaca isi simcard yang dimasukkan ke dalamnya. Tentu saja dibutuhkan sebuah komputer untuk membacanya.

Untuk mengoperasikan software ini sangatlah mudah. Pertama, Anda harus menginstall driver yang sesuai untuk sim card reader tersebut. Selanjutnya install software GSM Sim utility versi 6.6. Setelah selesai, Anda bisa mencoba memasang simcard reader dan masukkan simcard di dalam slot yang tersedia di simcard reader tersebut. Selanjutnya jalankan software tersebut.

Setelah muncul layar pembuka aplikasi Sim Editor, pilih tombol “Connect to Card Reader” yang ada di bagian atas sebelah paling kiri. Pastikan simcard reader telah terkoneksi dengan software seperti ditunjukkan oleh tampilan berikut.

Klik ”OK” dan mulailah membaca simcard anda dengan memilih tombol bertuliskan ”SMS” lalu pilih tombol kedua bergambar panah ke kiri ”Read from SIM Card”. Tunggu beberapa saat, maka Anda akan dapat melihat data SMS yang telah terhapus namun masih tersimpan rapi di memory SIM card Anda. Jangan kaget jika Anda mendapati SMS anda beberapa tahun lalu masih tersimpan disitu.

Jika perlu anda bisa menyimpan SMS tersebut menjadi sebuah file dengan cara memilih tombol ”Save” atau gambar disket. Gampang sekali khan? Kini Andapun bisa juga membongkar data-data SMS istri, suami atau anak anda, siapa tahu mereka punya rahasia yang tidak Anda garapkan. Walah!!

Mengatasi Handphone Error / Blank Sendiri

Beberapa hari yang lalu, seorang teman mengadukan masalah yang menimpa di Handphone kesayangannya. Error atau Blank. Nah kali ini Update Digital mencoba sedikit membahasnya. Tapi perlu diingat, cara ini hanya untuk keperluan darurat. Untuk selanjutnya. Tanyakan kepada yang lebih ahli, untuk menghindari kerusakan fatal. Sebenernya, untuk memperbaiki kerusakan software seperti Hang atau Blank masih bisa dilakukan perbaikan tanpa flashing menggunakan box repair,cukup dengan melakukan Hardreset atau yang lebih dikenal Format Jari-Jari.Yang pernah saya coba adalah pada Ponsel Nokia 3230,N70,73.Umumnya yang biasa mengalami hang atau blank adalah ponsel yg ber-OS Symbian.
Berikut langkah-langkahnya:

1.Matikan ponsel tapi batterai harus dalam keadaan full.

2.Tekan secara bersamaan tombol * ( bintang ) 3 ( angka tiga ) Yes atau Ok Kemudian tombol Power.

3.Tunggu sampai proses formatting selesai.
Tapi apa bila ponsel masih bermasalah,sebaiknya lakukan perbaikkan ponsel dengan menggunakan metode flashing dengan menggunakan alat khusus ( Box Repair ).
Selama mencoba semoga dapat mengatasi masalah ponsel anda secara manual dan darurat.
